Tammy M. Riggs, Esq.

Tammy Riggs has more than 10 years of criminal law experience. After graduating from the University of Minnesota Law School cum laude, Tammy served as a law clerk for the Honorable Peter I. Breen of the Second Judicial District Court for Nevada. She then enjoyed a successful career as a Deputy District Attorney in the Washoe County District Attorney’s office, prosecuting driving under the influence, domestic violence and repeat offender cases before specializing in violent and sex crime cases, including sexual assault, battery, crimes against children, robbery and murder.

Tammy has transferred her success as a prosecutor to the vigorous criminal defense of her clients. She has successfully defended clients across the criminal law spectrum in both state and federal courts, including those charged with driving under the influence, domestic battery and other violent crimes, white collar crimes and sexual assault.

Tammy is licensed to practice in all Nevada state and federal courts. In 2010, she received the honor of being elected to the American Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 100 Trial Lawyers for Nevada. In addition, she is a member of the Washoe County Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association’s Criminal Law Section, and is a National Organization For Reform Of Marijuana (NORML) lifetime member.
